I got to check out the video of your hike and I've got to say your D is an athlete. I can't believe she did that hike w/out trouble as my D is such a Daddy's girl that she begs me to carry her everywhere - and of course, I do.
However, I have told her that we can't go back to Disneyland until she can do more walking on her own. She is consistently asking me if she's walking enough to be able to take the trip. So far, not enough, I'm afraid.
I am doing just fine. We took the kids to an indoor play place for a cub scout get together last night. W was there for a bit and was sick as usual. She sat at a table far away from any of the other cub scout parents.
I leave Saturday morning for a little over 3 weeks of exploration and fun. Our first day is a long drive of over 300 miles to a place past Burns Oregon called Crystal Crane Hot Springs. I plan to stop along the way between Bend and Burns to let the kids gather some obsedian at Glass Butte.
Our second day will be expolring the Malheur cave and then the Alvord desert on the east side of the Steens. We will probably camp at Bog Hot Springs just over the border in Nevada.
Then we will do some hiking in the Ruby Mountains and onward to Utah...
Hmm, where could he post it that allows mobile access - you know, someplace like facebook or something. Kerry, do you have a cell phone that allows web access? We ALL want to go on vacation with you!
