I was reading your post, with the U2 song, and found it amazing because I burned that song onto a CD at the beginning of last week. I wasn't even looking for that song, I was looking for One by the Bee Gees (I know, I am a nerd), and found that one. I play it really loud in my car. Wow...it is amazing how many of us are on the same wavelength

Traffic was horrible. We also got stuck because of a bad accident in the middle of farm country when it was about 100 degress out. They closed the freeway for an hour and fifteen minutes because of a bad accident. By the time we got up to where we could see anything, all that was left was two burned-out cars on the side of the road.
It was good to see my Grandma and the rest of the family down there. My sister got emergency leave, so I also got to see her. She is staying with our Grandma until Thursday, so that'll be nice.
No word from H.

It was hotter than hell here this weekend and I do not envy you sitting in the car for an hour or more.

hey Michelle, Glad you got through it ok and saw your family, shame though that your H couldnt send you a message, but hey ho, guess he is still working out his own stuff! I guess it makes him lacking in empathy right now.

We rolled down all the windows, opened the doors and put out the windshield sun shade on the West side lol. Plus my mom had a spray bottle of water which we periodically sprayed ourselves with. Luckily there was a BIT of a breeze. By the time we got moving again though we were pretty much out of water (and definitely out of anything cold lol).

Hey Ali! Your comment about lacking empathy is dead on. I wish I knew a way to get through to him, but *sighs* stewing in his own problems seems to be the only thing that has any impact on him - and even then it seems pretty minimal since he doesn't know how to fix them and is just frustrated by the fact that they won't go away.
