I agree - it's pretty sobering. At this point it becomes a business deal. Try to keep that in mind and don't let your emotions confuse your judgement about what's fair. If this goes through, you'll be okay.
That said, you don't have to slam the door on her either. If she's willing to show remorse and do the hard work, who knows, anything is possible.
