I talked to the wife last night at my son's music concert.

I told her if she really wants a divorce I wont get in her way. She told me that she wants to do it quick and she doesn't have alot of funds to support an extended divorce proceeding. She also told me that she had evidence against me if I decided to fight the divorce.

I told her that I want what's best for her and our son and that I care for them deeply.

I guessed that I slipped up and tried to show her that I was sincere and she doesn't believe my words.

any advice???

What is "evidence against you" ? What the hell does that mean?

In my state, divorce is no-fault. There is no evidence. If you want a divorce, you get a divorce. It's not a criminal proceeding.

What is she talking about?

She sounds angry.
Like she wants to punish you.

I think it was a threat to make me do what she wants.

I think she is angry but I think she gets angry and tells me things to justify her filing for divorce.

She called me the other night and told me she can't afford her lawyer and she needs rehabilitative alimony.

I'm working with a lawyer to protect my interests/rights and our son's future.

I'm trying to stay detached and let her consider what is happening, and still maintain a good parental relationship with our son.
