Trip,

I'm so glad that everything went so smoothly. That's the way it should be,but having them in a motel probably gave you the space that you needed.

I was always a wreck when my in-laws came to visit. I would clean for days before they got here and made dinners more special than were used to having. Of course I was always afraid of MIL.

On Friday when we got to Chicago my friends have to drop something off at their sons apartment. Now he and his wife are only 22, and they live in a tiny apartment, but I was amazed that they didn't lift a finger to get ready even though they knew that his parents (her in-laws) would be there. In fact, they seemed more embarassed that I came in and saw it than they were for the parents. There were fast food wrappers and soda cups all over the coffee table, and furballs (yuk) from cats all over the floor. I kept thinking I'm glad I wasn't staying with them! I could never have let my house look like that for my MIL. I would never have heard the end of it!

Heh!

Yeah, I was like that for my parents and for my former in-laws.
I did get to the point of not worrying so much with my MIL because she would stay often. My FIL lived in another country so when he would visit it was for more than a month and he loves to play mind games so he would suck more as a guest than all of them combined.

Feeding him was the biggest headache so I got to the point of not wanting to cook but then I was the rotten wife/DIL for not doing so. Blech!

Anyhow, I keep my place pretty clean regardless.

Oh, and the Pom, her gear is a black tank with a silver beaded skull and crossbones on the back.

Hehehe!

A killer that needs to poop, so I have to go and walk her now. She has issues with pooping in my yard. It would be nice for the rotten days but good on the other hand that she thinks so kindly of my yard not to. Also, gives us some exercise. She has gained weight under my care and is at her max so she needs to trim down. The funny thing is she doesn't get extras. I think it is the lack of having a cat to chase around but that will change real soon here with FA getting his house. His son's cat will be there. The Pom hates that cat. I think the feeling is mutual.

Anyhow, off to walk KILLER!

Back. We both got soaked to the bone. It was sleeting out and now it is just plain snowing.
FA called from the border and it is snowing there, too. Actually the system moved from that direction because he warned me about it but Killer had to poop. Now, I am after a hot drink.
