Little side journaling...

Ok I got enough energy to drive the Mustang back to MIL house. I stayed there for a little while to let the pain subside before I drove the truck back. While there MIL started talking and for some stupid reason I said." Ya I need to get better before Wife dumps me for some younger guy". My said, "I don’t think she’ll dump you. You should hear the things she says about the stupid things these men are doing now days. And if she did she would have me to answer to."
Ok I did not push it but I think MIL may have been talking about the Gov. of New York. We had D and her live in BF over for dinner. I tried but I could not sit at the table because of my back so I wife asked if I wanted her to fix me a plate? WOW yes a big PMA boost... I said I could do it but wow... Yes I think I have problems. I need to seek help. I think we may be at a good starting point and I am the one not giving it a chance. I need Retro more that wife at this time.
I go to the doctor on Monday. I told w what Sara said about a MRI scan but said we can not afford it. (W had one when she was sick) W told me doesn’t be stupid you need to take care of this before it gets worst..... Ok Ya I know she deep down cares....

I'm so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain, but very glad to hear that things are "thawing" around your house.

Please fill us in on what the doctor says. Take care of yourself and don't over do it. You have such a hard time of taking it easy when you need to. Just remember in the long run, if you do over do it, it could cause further injury. Listen to Dr. Yoyo this time, LOL.

Like W says take care of it before it gets worse. Been there done that have the scar to prove it. SO listen to her.
It's good to see that she is showing you that she does care about you so look at those baby steps.

Update,

Well before I went to bed last night I thanked W for helping me and told her I felt like a big baby. She said I know you are in allot of pain. You are always trying to be so macho....

Then this morning when I was trying to get dressed for the doctor I was moaning in pain. W came into OUR/My room and asked me if I needed any help. (Too bad I already had my underwear on anyway I ask her if she could tie my shoe. And she did.
I went to the doctor and she had me take ALL of my clothes off. (She does this no mater what I go see her for. Even if I went in for an Ear ache.)

Anyway she said I had a pinched sciatic nerve. It will go away by its self. I asked how long and she said well it could be 6 weeks or 6 months....She gave me a slip to be out of work until Thursday but I told wife that I would do less damage if I went to work because if I stayed home I would end up doing something stupid.
So when I was leaving to take a test for a job she was talking about some stuff she looked it up on the computer about sciatic nerves. I then told her to stop a minute as she was walking down the hall to leave. She turned and I told her I wanted to give her a hug. She said “Oh Jesse" (but in a happy way)I gave her a hug and told her good luck. She said “I’m not going for a job interview. I told her you never know what could happen. Something could come in while you are there. This is important we need this so we can move on... She smiled and said ya you never know. So she leaves and the phone rings. It was someone at the company I work for and told me to tell W there is a software eng. opening there..... So I called W on her cell to let her know...

Ok I need to go have sat as long as possible

When I trapped my sciatic nerve I was told to lie flat on my back on the floor close to a wall and then put my legs up the wall so they were at right angles to my back, (which was flat on the floor with my butt against the base of the wall ). I hope you can picture what I am trying to say.

It hurts like he!! so be careful and don't over do the painkillers as it is so easy to just hurt yourself more if you mask the pain.

I had a piched sciatic when I was pregnant, massage did wonders, although when they had me roll over the table turned up on edge and I almost fell on the floor. ( i was a big pregnant lady)
Maybe you could even suggest this to your w??

Ok a little rambling her under the influence of Pain killers.

I would not have minded seeing you in that position but that would kill me. I can bend backwards but if I tried that OUCH. The doctor told me that bed rest is NOT the best thing. I need to take it easy but SLOOOOly work back to my regular routine. An as for the pain killers.... I was just weaning myself off of them. Then this.....

Ok so I am sitting in my chair in family room watching son play his games on our T.V. W comes home from job "tests". I ask her how it went and she was a little disappointed because she only got 97% (means she missed ONE question) I told her that was great... don't worry about it. I am great at excel and charts and graphs but..... When I don’t do them for a little while it takes time to get back up to speed... she has been out of work since October...
As then as I winch in pain W asks when the last time I took a pain pill was. I told her about 4 hours ago. She asked how many am I supposed to take. I said I think 1 every 4 hours. Sooo she goes and gets the bottle and it says 1-2 every 4 hours and gets me a glass of water and a pill. THEN she gets an Ice pack for me. And then said her try this and brought some crackers and cheese for me to snack on. Then asked when the last time I took a Motrin was. I told her when I got up this morning. She said well you need to keep on taking them to keep the swelling down. And proceeded to go get one with more water.
So I try to get up BIG MISTAKE... and sit right back down.

W then was going to take son to store to spend some of his b day money. I asked her IF SHE was someplace that had frozen pizzas if she could pick one up for me BUT DON"T MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP... just if she was someplace that had them.

Well she came home with two pizzas. She was on her way to her moms and said she would make one before she left... and she did....
NOW this is today. And I have been taking drugs but some how I feel we are in a good place. I think I need to be very careful because I am becoming my own worst enemy in our sitch. I really do feel that the time for retro is right around the corner. It going to be all in the timing. Soon. Not yet but soon.

Ok I better go now and let Sara and YOYO pick this apart and find the typos

I think it is very interesting about the mayor of Detroit having an affair and the Gov of New York. All of a sudden the media is saying how WRONG affairs are. It seems when the PREZ had one the media played it off as a joke. A show I watched today said that some people say that what a politician does in his private life should not make a difference in their job BUT... A wise commentator said/ “How can you trust someone to be honest and keep their word in office when they have no problem not keeping the simplest of promises to the one the love. One lie leads to another and another and another....

Maybe people morals are going to start opening people eyes

FWIW -
I have a tape of a lecture by a guy who is team neurosurgeon for one of the big sports teams. He's big on fish oil for back pain - because of its anti-inflammatory effects. Minimum dose I believe was a total of EPA + DHA = 1500 mg, which, depending on the quality of your fish oil, is 2000 to 4000 mg total.

Can't hurt.
