Well, the doctor called this afternoon whilst (English there!) I was in the lab, and left a message....
The test came back negative/normal, so I am not a mutant. Or at least I don't have the hemochromatosis gene mutation. So, he recommended a liver biopsy. Which sounds like a lot of fun, to me! I really prefer my insides to remain inside! Unless they want to do a bit of liposuction while they are in there! So, I need to call him in the morning, and find out what I do next, since I don't think I can get a biopsy at the local drugstore, or chemist, for you lovely Englishwomen! So, I don't really know what this means, except that the 'ol liver isn't doing it's thing. I know it isn't from excessive drinking, beyond that, ????????
thank you for creating such a delighful atmosphere on your thread... where all the ladies can really LET THEIR HAIR DOWN
fyi clips scare me too!! I've never had any on my bike... there is too much stopping and starting in the intense urban road environment which I frequent. And I love my hybrid!! We can start our own bicycle club!! Perhaps utilizing my basket for Muffin Delivery Service!! Or... Nipple Delivery Service!!
The advantage to being a mutant is that the treatment is really easy, bloodletting! And no liver biopsy required! But, that isn't the case. So, I get to worry about what else it could be, and I have no idea what the treatment will be. Fortunately, I'm not all that good at worrying, I usually just let W do that!
I don't really understand why all of these wonderful ladies (including you!) are so nice to me, but I am glad they visit! My best guess is that when you are nice to people, they tend to be nice to you! Seems to work in most cases, 'cept the one I'd really like it to work with. Go figure.
The thing I's like about the clips would be getting some work on the upstroke. I think the leg with the bad knee would really appreciate it. But, at present, I think I won't go that way.
Good thing about the non-mutant ruling. Think how many biopsies it would take if you had all those extra livers, or if they had trouble locating The One.
Sorry, I couldn't hear you ... here, let me take my sock off. Ok, that's better ... now could you repeat that?
Hope the good news stays good, and the ladies keep thonging ... I mean thronging.
Well, I am glad to hear that your results are negative, although now there is more waiting and not-knowing.
I have not myself been through a liver biopsy, but my mom has. You will need to take it easy afterwards, but it's nothing to be too worried about. You'll just need to spend the time curled up with your laptop chatting with all your international girls.
Having never had a bike with tip clips on it and seeing my mom break her femur on one, I can't say I'm a fan of the toe clips. I'm sure you will get plenty of exercise without them.
I missed chatting with you tonight. We will have to make up for it tomorrow.

Jeff - I think what all of us have gone through to be here is probably worse than any little old liver biopsy! The good news is that you have so much of it, you won't miss what they take!
AND, you will have us all here to take care of you when it's over.

good that you are not sick. It's bad that this may mean that it's your head causing you troubles and that to determine this you need to go through a biopsy...
(((((((Friends))))))) Well, in a way it was good the test was negative, but that means that there is some other reason that my liver isn't working right, as there are a number of lab results out of whack. I did a little unscientific research last night, some the the things are pretty nasty, but I don't think I have most of the symptoms that go along with the worst ones, like being dead, for example! But I couldn't figure out any that did make sense, either. I guess that's why the doctors go to school! And want to do a biopsy! I did find a "diary" of a guy who wrote about his biopsy experience, it sounds like the anticipation is the worst part, so that is good. I will be calling the doc this morning to find out when and where and how!
Thanks again for all of your support! There a a bunch of good people here!
