Funny I was craving a glass of cabernet tonight but we have none. And I am too lazy to mix a drink (we only have kahlua and baileys anyway), so I will have water and go to bed. Swingin' night life around here......

Sorry you have to wait so long for your results....patience is required for just about everything these days!

Kahlua or Baileys are good even by themselves IMHO! Or over "rocks" lol.

Hey Jeff,

Hope you're not in the basement lab today!I was just thinking....(always dangerous!). How are the compliments coming along. Any thawing?

((((((((((((((Jeff)))))))))))))))))

It's a super-big hug day!

Thanks, (((((((((((((((Lisa!)))))))))))))))

Every day is super big hug day!

I got to spend the best part of the day in the lab again, 'twill be true most days. The pay is good, though. Tomorrow is a day off though, so that's good. We work 40 hours in 9 days, and get every other Friday off.

I have missed specific compliments once or twice this week, though I have agreed with and supported W on issues surrounding S18 (it's all going well, he is seeing things as we hoped, without us having to lead him to it!) But, I feel more snippiness ever since S19 left. I think the better feelings that seemed to be around earlier in Operation Compliment were related to his visit more than anything I was doing.

S19 leaves the country soon, I don't know exactly when, but his birthday is Saturday, and he said he'd be celebrating it in Djibouti. So that narrows it down a bit!

For you wonderful people who asked for his address so you could write him, I asked him if he would mind getting mail from people he didn't know, and had never heard of, he said something like, "Wow! Mail is mail, sure!" So, for any of you that asked, e-mail me, and I'll get you his address!

Her snippeness also could be directly related to the fact that S19 is leaving the country soon rather than anything you are or are not doing.

You haven't given the compliment project that long, don't give up yet.

What's to drink tonight? ;\) Ice water?

No, I'm not stopping the compliment project. The snippiness may have to do with S19 leaving, but she was plenty snippy before that was imminent. She has stored up resentment and anger for years, at me, and in general. Until she figures out how to get rid of it, I think snippy will be the order of the day. Kind of discouraging.

Hmmmm, tonight.....
Well, I don't work tomorrow, might be a good night for Bailey's and ice cream! That sounded pretty good. I'd have to go past the store, but it is a thought! I guess I'd actually have to go into the store. Hmmm.....

Hey Jeff, keep on keepin on. As long as you dont mind the compliment thing, keep doing it, you never know, right? Happy Birthday to your brave son. Did he ask who the people who wanted to write were?

How is the decluttering coming? Did you finish the night stand yet? Remember, a little at a time - you could do it!

I dont drink at all but maybe I should start. Everyone on your thread really seems to enjoy a drink now and then. Might take the edge off on those days when I want to punch my h (oops - that was supposed to stay in my head).

S19 didn't ask who wanted to write, but he seemed very appreciative that people he didn't know would want to. I think he was really hurt by the occasional "baby killer" remarks people make, so it helps for him to know that a lot of people appreciate what he's doing!

The decluttering took a hiatus most of the week, partly due to the other interesting events going on. I did keep things from getting worse, so that was good. But I have the area around the nightstand cleared out, so I will shove everything off, and only put the stuff that needs to be there back on.

I really drink very rarely, but the Bailey's and ice cream sounds really tempting!
