MMC,

Hey Guy How did your day go? Mine went ok. W took MIL shopping, called to find out what kind of whiskey I liked because MIL wanted to buy a bottle to have around her house for when I come over. I had to go drive the Tractor my Uncle for a while. (I like that and I get to work on my farmers tan for Saffie). then when I got home W said that she had to just drop off Mil after shopping because she had to go pick up son from school. I told her I was going to be around working on the tree house. (That son so far has lost interest in... GRRRRRRRR)
And if she wanted she could go back over MIL house. W said ya I think I will do that we can finish watching "Roots" when I get home I am going to make stroganoff for dinner, (another one of my favorites).
I just called for jury duty (the 4th day on a row) and the said I did not have to appear and I won't be called for another year.

Darn.... My company pays me regular pay to attend jury duty so I was really looking forward to it.

Ok enough about my day. I still need to respond to your e-mail but I goy caught off guard cleaning up the back yard for my B day and we are having my son's B day party next week so I don’t want that to happen again. I still have not planted my vegetable garden.

I had a great day, husband, thanks for asking! Of course I didn't get to drive a tractor... Like you said in your thread, BIG BOY TOYS.

D13's cheerleading competition was held tonight at my high school and it was fantastic - the whole thing. The girls did such a great job. Her team took 2 trophies for First Degree of Excellence (which I think means 2nd place). I couldn't believe that was my daughter up there! This is her first year cheering and she did great - so proud of her. We took a ton of pictures so I'll see if I can get some posted soon.

I took D11 and S8 out of the gym for a drink and they wanted to see my old locker. It took some time to find (it's been 21 years) but eventually I located it. They were so impressed. During the search my son (God bless him!) said "Daddy, if you don't remember which locker is yours because it's been so long, how do you remember that this is the school you went to?"

After laughing about this I said "S8, the school is so big that I just can't forget where it is. The locker, however, is so small..."

We spent most of the time at the school with friends from town again (maybe a dozen of us in all). It was a wonderful carefree evening of being fun, funny, cocky and making a fool of myself by dancing with 6 year old twins. My PMA was skyrocketing tonight - between all of my friends and my wife, I felt like the old me again (or should I say the 'young' me?)

MMC,
Great to hear, Both My D's went to the same High school as me but... When I went there it was only a year old. It has really changed since then. I would not be able to find my old locker becasue for some weird reason here in california they took most of the lockers away. Now all the kid have to drag around 50 lb back packs.
Ya I have noticed that my W's PMA has improved since our "talk" a week ago. I think she does feel less presured about us right now so she can concintrate on finding a job. As I was going to bed last night I heard son ask her for something and she said no becasue we have no Money. He asked why and she said becasue she needs to find a job. But..... the way she said it was diferant. I don't know how to explain it but it was a "reality" tone. Not a "panic / stressed" tone. About the tractor. When I was in high school I loved driving that tractor so much that I used to work for free on my uncle's ranch as long as it involved driving it.
If you are ever out this way I'll let ya have a turn....

Later
Husband

Things sound good on your end Michael. Glad to hear it.

Our kids are going to the same schools as I did also. They are currently in the same grammer school and will go to the same HS. There are actually still a few teachers left at the GS from when I was there. Even my kindergarten teacher is still there!

Hello everyone. I'm going to go ahead and jump on over to Piecing now. Been holding off for a while, probably afraid I'm going to jinx myself...

You have all been a great source of support, hope and inspiration for me. I will try to keep up with everyone.

I wish you all the best of luck and THANK YOU for everything over the past 6 months!
