Also I believe she mentions that by educating ourselves about MLC, it helps to not take things so personal.

You are absolutely right about that. Reading reasons/theories from good resources can really help in that respect. And can help you see that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. Seeing how some have been successful, and discerning between the lines how others have not been successful is also useful.
