OK that's it, I'm putting my wedding ring back on! WTF is going on. My Latin Dance teacher is all over me and even I'm bright enough to figure this one out! I kind of suspected it last week and my female co-worker said to me "I think she's hitting on you" when I told her about last weeks comments. I mean if I wasn't into this Christian thing I might be tempted to take her out for a test drive but...honestly, right now she's scaring me! At break time this sweet little Chinese thing had the courage to come over, sit down beside me and start a conversation and the dance teacher basically waltzed over and cut her out. It's becoming my own personal version of Dance Wars! Maybe I should go to a pool hall on Friday nights, it'll be safer there.
Just a thought here, Wii, but have you ever considered dating outside your W's culture? Might be exciting, and different. Not that you should be dating yet, but when you do.

NH and Being Me, really I'm not doing anything! Is it just that I'm now aware of the male female thingy that I wasn't before? It seems these little attentions are being paid to me quite frequently these days, it kind of confounds me a bit. Is it cuz I'm being a little more outgoing? But, last night I was just sitting there minding my own business and whamo, I've got two of them on me! As for "dating" (which I am not doing) outside of W's culture, I live in a largely Asian area and therefore you run into a lot of Asian women, they are also very active and will be at the community centres etc. Btw, dance teacher isn't Asian, she's just a pure bred aggressive.
I guess what I need to do in these situations is just to appreciate these bits of attention, acknowledge that these are other human beings who are recognizing and valuing me in some small way, wanting to connect! That's something to be thankful for rather than be overwhelmed by. I don't have to do anything with these situations except just value the people who have reached out for a little bit of connection. Isn't connection one of the things that makes life so wonderful, whether they be big or small? For example, when my fellow dance student has the courage to come over, sit down beside me and initiate a conversation she is probably stepping outside of her comfort zone and that's a special thing, something to appreciate. Dance teacher may be somewhat aggressive, but she too is making a connection for herself and, actually, she is kind of amusing (I just don't want to be caught alone in the cloakroom with her)! I will try to accept and enjoy these interactions with others rather than become like a deer in headlights! Just my thoughts for now.

Ah yes, "the thing"! It used to be so simple, I was married and that was that. I never had to deal with women showing interest, I was always with my W or spoke of her frequently. I would speak of her, not to create awareness in other women, but because I loved her and was proud to be her spouse. Now, I'm single and, technically speaking, available. It's like being an adolescent again, WTH am I supposed to be doing? I want the attention but I don't. I want to reach out but I don't. Yes, it's that damn "thing" Tom!

Just enjoy the attention while you have it, dear Wii! Perhaps some women can just tell when a man is available-ish, yet not interested. Maybe, it's a challenge for them? I dunno!
