It's a PS2 game, the controllers are sort of guitars, but with buttons, and you try to match the pattern on the screen. So, it is pretty much a time sink.
I'm waiting for the perfect roll. Just sticking with breadsticks for now, I guess.
my oldest D made crispy french bread yesterday along with a killer chocolate chocolate chip cherry bread...great with cream cheese or toasted with peanut butter
She also makes killer dinner rolls...and her garlic rolls are awesome too...but deadly later, lol...
Well, W called a few minutes ago. But it was an accident, she meant to call her father, she probably poked the wrong button on her phone. She did talk for a couple of minutes, complaining of the snow up there (they had to drive to Seattle today, and back tomorrow), and then asking how the kids are. I didn't tell her that I don't think they've even mentioned her not being here. I'm sure they miss her, but no one has said a word.
Good morning Jeanette- No, I didn't lose the anklet, I'm sure I just put it somewhere safe when I started cleaning the room. I just don't have any idea where that safe place is! I think I've looked in all the usual safe places, so this one must be really safe. Anyway, I guess the room may get a deeper cleaning than was planned, maybe ripping the walls out, and things like that.
I know the kids miss mom, but you are right, they don't miss the eggshells. I don't miss her though. Not even on Christmas.
I'm doing ok on the list. Need to get more done on the science fair projects. I don't like them, but I have to hide that from the kids, so it is challenging!
Sorry to hear about Rich sort of reverting to form, but after all this time, it isn't that surprising. It seems that is his form. The good thing is that your reaction is a lot different than it used to be!

Phooeyyy! she didn't accidentally hit the wrong button. That was just her excuse to use because she wanted to talk to all of you.
Why not ask the kids how they are feeling about their mom being gone? Maybe it's a relief to them, maybe they are mirroring you, maybe they cry at night when you don't know it.
If we get all the snow today they are predicting we will be 2nd place for December records. There I am! 2nd place again.
Hey pal, It was funny. I answered, she immediately said she'd dialed the wrong number. I didn't totally recognize her voice, so I almost said it's ok, and hung up! But before I could she said, but I'll talk to you.
If she wanted to talk to us all, she missed out. I was the only one here at the time! She didn't ask to talk to the kids anyway.
I might ask what they are thinking. Though, on the other hand, I don't want to get them worrying about it. I might just let it be, and keep my ear to the ground.
We haven't had any snow.
I think you are first place. (It's a tie between a bunch of you!) What would W think if I said I wanted to invite my internet friends to dinner? palgal, Amy, Treese, dianamo, Jeanette, ba065, IMLin, short1......, oh, and Jack, or course! Ha!
Hi Jeff! I bet your W called on purpose just to check up on you! I think my H does that...I don't know why...he always knows that I'm either at work or at home waiting for him...
One of these days I'll get up the nerve to be someplace else...and then I won't answer the phone...and then he'll really wonder?! Ha!
I hope the kids are doing well...it's good they don't bring up their mom...it has to be a relief for them to not have the tension all around them...I know my kids seem more relaxed when H isn't home even though we all wonder where he is. D18 is the only one who doesn't know everything about what's going on, she just knows he's trying to figure out what he wants and who he is.
What kind of science projects are you working on? I always hated those things...I'm so glad the kids are in college and in full charge of their own projects!
Do you have plans for New Years Eve yet? We're going to a friend's house to shoot pool....I've never been good at that, but they got a new pool table for Christmas. Maybe I'll just drink and rack the balls...Ha!
