My daughters and I went out last night to get a couple of things. They talked me into going to a clothing store, of course. They found several items they liked, so I now I'm pretty much finished Christmas shopping for them, yay!
Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are. -- Bernice Johnson Reagon
That's good. I don't know what's come over me. I've been shopping a lot, but everything's been for me. I got a couple of little things for my daughter. Of course, we told the boys they were getting some of their legal expenses paid. Why give them gifts when there are legal bills?
Tonight I have a gift exchange with the women who play Bunko. I enjoy the event, but I don't like the gifts they bring. Everything is a stuffed santa for the mantelpiece, or a christmas serving bowl, etc. And being Jewish, I have no use for that stuff except to wrap it back up and bring it the following year, and I can't do that. So I bought some wine glasses that I like, and I hope I get the chance to choose my own gift and take it home with me. I know that sounds bad. But I don't understand why they can't choose gifts that are just nice things, not necessarily geared to Christmas. Of course, if there's a big nutcracker, well, I want that for the collection.
