Moondog,

The way I see it, Angelica is right about this....

Quote:
God does not WILL suffering, but we are certainly required to suffer at times. Suffering, in the words of a great and compassionate theologian is the hammer blow of the chisel that tries to shape and perfect us.

Also....

Incidentally, there are many restored and restoring marriages here at the moment [I am counting up to 40]: IMO none of them would be restored without the loving kindness of their spouses, understanding that this condition is deep and spiritual

Please see the list at the top of the Midlife Crisis forum !...

It has been truly said that when God has lessons for us to learn he does not put us in a warm and comfortable classroom, but in an extreme situation. How we respond to the challenge is crucial Read posts by Butterflymom, or Grace, both relative newbies; see the changes in a new tomoro and Cinders [Hope you peeps don't mind me mentioning you] if you ever doubt that we don't learn and grow while waiting out this process.

Angelica, I don't mind - I am HONOURED that you thought of me...
I feel the changes and thank God everyday for the challenges I've had and overcome and learnt from ! In a way I feel priviledged by this situation ...

Standing...yes I stand. I do not feel stationary though, life continues for me and the kids and we enjoy it as much as we can, when we have bad days, we accept them, they belong to life don't they...? Life isn't always easy going...it's just how it goes, and how it would have been if H was still here ....
I do not imagine everlasting BLISS if or when H returns...life is a verb...we work at it everyday...so is love...when we forget to put work into it....that's when we loose our way, and us being human, well....we sometimes 'forget' to work at it...that's ok...

I believe God will be there for when we start stearing in the wrong direction...we must listen though and THAT I find to be the hardest part !

Take care Moondog...xxx I'm glad life is good for you !!

Love Cinders xxx

"Faith in God is one thing, but He does not require us to suffer. He sent His Son to show us that, did he not?"

As Christians, and those of us who are, do have sufferings. That is part of the Christian walk and it so states this in the Bible.
