MJ, can you source this for me? Through trial and error, input both physiological and psychological with which I will not bore you, I have settled upon my dopamine levels as the key to my mental balance. So I would like to hear more .... I have also experienced what you reference, sex as a profoundly meaningful connection, which I discovered later was not necessarily shared ....

LOL Mojo - not quite. He didn't have a female assistant. He was a young postdoc at Cambridge with too much time on his hands, with a gift for listening to people much more brilliant than he and fitting many snatches of information into a cohesive whole. Which is also a genius of sorts.

What did happen is that he and Crick made use of x-ray work by Rosalind Franklin which showed the helix structure of the DNA possibly without her knowledge and permission, and failing to acknowledge her contribution in the Nobel acceptance speech.

He's also said a lot of silly things in his life. Unfortunately, being a genius in one area doens't make one immune from being extremely stupid in others. Hence, his remarks about race and IQ.
