You might not believe this (or you might), but she is usually the one who will walk in front of me and try to lead (which ticks me off), unless I hold her hand to keep her in check. I have even mentioned this to her a few times. The deflection is “Oh, I just feel rushed, we’re in a hurry, blah, blah, blah…” Well, that will be another exercise to practice.
So. Use it to understand her. And not lead her yourself.
You can be an angel in the face of someone's demon. You just have to KNOW it.
Let her lead. It doesn't mean you follow. It means you are willing (curious) to see where she is headed. If she is heading for a broken bridge... you might want to pull her in. Not to lead her. But to protect her from what she cannot see herself.
