Did a bunch of GALing & fun today, tho the day didn't start off very well. (Friday the 13th & all. . .)
10am Pilates session got postponed to afternoon (and then cancelled entirely, which was not a bad thing). As I was out the door to do errands, Friend-A called me & asked if I would let her use my car to meet clients (realtor) for an appointment at 12:30 since her car had a flat & she had arranged for tow truck to come pick it up. So did a few errands in town, then went by her house. Kids & I ate lunch & swam in her pool until a storm came thru. H called during this time & I let it go to vm. He said he was going to the house to mow the lawn and had to travel for work this eve & wanted to see the kids b/f he went as he wouldn't be back util Sun. When I called him back 2 hrs later & asked how late he was going to be around today (to see kids), he said he had alot going on [something wrong w/his truck, plus local work needed him] but would not be goign to Louisiana after all so to never mind.
When Friend-A returned, we visited for a while (and Nomo, she had the Getting the Love/Hendrix book you referred to & loaned it to me!), then pilot/Friend-P came over & I drove us all to the Orlando BMW dealership to get her loaner. (Geez, i could LIVE at that place! There was a tray of fresh-baked cookies every 30 min.! lol) Afterwards we went to the posh-area & had dinner - Yummy! - and then to book store for a while (bought a Pilates magazine & coffee & didn't even look at the self-help section, lol), drove to Pilot/Friend-P's house to p/u his dog that had been to the vet this morn. for toenail procedure, then to Friend-A's house to watch a movie & eat popcorn. Kids stayed up til 11:30 & will prolly be dead-tired when I get them up in the a.m. for j.j. class. Oh well. (We watched French Kiss - Kevin Kline(sp) & Meg Ryan. Friend-A was concerned I was gonna freak about the fiance' cheating/leaving Meg, but I was okay w/that & when, at the end, Kevin Kline tells Meg to act like she has realized she's better off w/o fiance, has no hard feelings about it & be her own fun, funny, sexy self around him & see how fast fiance wants her back, I'm saying "See? SEE?!" to Friend-A. lol
So, yeah, a busy GALing day and, aside from early-morning Support-talk w/Friend-A, not much sitch-thinking or talking at all! Yay, me! Made some phone calls before leaving the house this morn., one of which was to my dr.'s vm asking if he'd write a rx for blood work (at same time my follow-up thyroid bloodwork is to be done in 2 wks) to check 'everything' out since I'd discovered H has been having an A & just want to be informed.
Oh, SUNNY! that quote about the caterpiller you posted yest(?) -- How weird is it that, tho I've never heard it before, it was on the cover of one of the self-help books Friend-A pulled out looking for the Getting the Love one I'd mentioned!?! Very strange coincidence I thought.

Glad you had a good day, and hope they keep a comin'! Nice job avoiding the Self Help section of the bookstore too (I always find myself meandering over there nowadays). I've only seen a small part of French Kiss, but I liked what I saw and am thinking about renting it now -- so funny how Meg's character gets that DBing advice (makes you wonder...)!
