Well I emailed W my flight stuff and asked her if she would consider giving me a ride to the airport and picking me up. She agreed. I got the following back as well...

I know, but you need too, even though it is under the cloud of your dad in the hospital, it will be good to see some of your family. Also to keep your mind off some of the troubles at home.

Need to is the key word. I just received this from an old high school friend. She always has a positive outlook on everything. Too bad she lives so far away.
