The only thing I'd say on that is, give it to him but let HIM decide if you look at it right away. Men like to make the choices and don't like to feel pressured you know .

Thank you both for clearing that up. Sorry I got behind on this one. Most have been actually working when this came about. ;\)

Oh, it was in my thread anyway. I was just giving you a hard time ;\) I'm actually a Rottweiler, Amy just doesn't know it.

You might have to go back a thread. The current one is a bit stagnant really. ;\)

I'll give the RD version, I had another meeting with my W lined up and I was so happy that my posts might have been a bit over the top, so to speak (something about jumping her in the Pastor's office, or something... ) Amy told me I better not act like a chihuahua in the meeting and I assured her I wouldn't (and I didn't). For some reason that stuck in Amy's mind and there you have it ;\)

Hey Amy....

Whats the plan this weekend? Are you holed up in a scrapbookin' frenzy?

Well, I got the first 5 years in chronological order if that counts for anything.

I went by the house tonight after throwing in my laundry at the laundromat. D11 was skating and H was just hanging out. We ended up in some old boxes with me ending up in tears holding a handful of wooden dinosaur shapes that the kids and I had made magnets out of when they were little. I said "you know, my living room is covered in pictures and stuff right now and do you remember all the beautiful cards you used to give me? He said something like "about $500 worth?" and I said "probably". I told him that I had many from those early years both to and from him but there was a sharp decline after we moved in the house. I said "I think we forgot about doing those sweet things for each other that we did in the early years..." and he mentioned having taken on a lot when we bought the house...and I said about knowing that now and made reference to the yard and everything he did while I did nothing...the conversation was stopped there because a thunderstorm rolled up and it started raining and windows were down on both of our vehicles. I said I had to go put my laundry in the dryer anyway but he stood at my car with me for a few minutes and I smiled at him and said "we ARE going to finish that conversation....do you want any of these magnets for your fridge? He said "let me see them..." and I held each one up and he decided he didn't want any after all (he's not as sentimental as I am over that stuff - HELLO ESPECIALLY at THIS time of the month!). The mosquitos then came at us in a feeding frenzy and he said he'd call me later (which he rarely ever actually does). I left and got my clothes done and as I was walking out of the laundromat every pair of slacks I had draped over the basket slid off right into a puddle! And to top it off, my hair frizzed from the stupid humidity! DAMMIT!

I called the house around 10:30 and talked to them both.
D11 doesn't want them to ride to Durham with me tomorrow so I'm going alone. OH! He gave me money for tomorrow's trip. I had a tank of gas and $13 and he said there was no way I could make it on that. Hell I figured it would get me there and then I'd borrow whatever I needed to from my Dad when I meet him to get S14. He's going to call me on my cell tomorrow to check on me (we'll see). I told him I can receive calls at this point but I cant call out (Verizon is about to shut me off completely!)

I plan to pray up in the morning before i go because truth be told, I am terrified to make the 4 hour trip alone. The last time I took off for Durham, I was 19 years old, had my chevette and two cute guys in it with me, one of which was holding my boombox that was screaming "Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound" and if memory serves me right there was a QUART of beer in a drink holder hanging off my driver's side door. Hell I think we filled that car up for like five bucks! But I failed to check the oil before we left (who knew?) and the next morning when I attempted to come home, the engine seized on me and, well, long story short, my Nana sent me a plane ticket and one of those guys GIRLFRIENDS gave me a ride to the airport (Great. Like I needed to remember how much THAT sucked!!). I haven't been back to Durham since.

But I checked my damn oil tonight, I'll tell you THAT!

I really don't want to ask, but how did you check the oil?

Sounds like over all you had a great day.

Better check in here when you arrive, I don't think chihuahua's are that good of tracking dogs if you get lost. \:\)

Dude, I know how to check the friggin oil in my car.
I just normally have it changed regularly so I never worry about it but at this point it hasn't been changed in 7 months so I knew I should check it. FYI: it was a quart low.

I can also (gasp!) check the transmission fluid, add my own window cleaner, check my tire pressure and it's been years since I've asked anyone for "jumpin' cables" (Just kidding. That was my sister)!

I changed the oil in my car for the 1st time ever all by myself just this past year..... \:o I've never been so proud and grossed out at the same time. well except maybe giving birth but heck that's expected of us. \:D

Be careful Amy.... I'll send up a request that He watch over you tomorrow.....
