LOL well now that you put it THAT way. I read an article a while back that said sahm salary would be something like 100,000 if you take into consideration everything we do... Can't remember the exact amount but it was HUGE!!!

Doll up the resume and don't let them know you've been out of work this long. I'm not encouraging you to lie or anything like that, but you were doing all kind of sub-contracting work while you were at home.
You wanna know what's funny? The last temp agency I tested with, I tested advanced in excel. She asked me how I knew excel so well with being out of the work force for so long. I said "I know... excel wasn't even around 13 years ago." We laughed!! I told her to write that in my file that I'm a quick learner and a self starter.
I've heard the same. It's a large sum of money. A domestic goddess isn't cheap! Now, think of all your experience in life you could tap into that has a potential monetary value and "tweak" the wording on your resume to show you have done it and made money doing it while "working from home". Believe me, many underestimate the monetary potential of their hobbies and skills.
I've always been adapt to picking up on others "hidden" talents and I've recruited them to help me with fund raising events I do from time to time. Their first question is "why do you want me to perform that function, I've never done that before"? People sometimes have to been shown their own potential before they learn to harness it.

Yeah the way we keep ourselves occupied while caring for little ones.

Just wish my husband had realized that it is work and that I don't sit and play on the computer all day. Which is what he thinks. It's like are you kidding me??? Especially during the summer when they're both home all day.
Yeah maybe I should revisit my resume. I also helped to get his company on the internet. Well I input all his products on his web page and answer any questions that may come thru and proof read the product before he actually makes it... Course at the moment he's not real into it since it's here and he's not.

You have database admin skills (product input), customer service skills (answer questions), and product control/inventory skills (proof read the product, etc...). Your also multitasking (kids & computer at the same time). There you go, your hired!
I have my S7 & S14 two to three nights a week during the summer. They are a handful just entertaining let alone feeding, getting them to their sporting events, laundry, cleaning up the mess, and addressing every other need they have. And when we aren't doing those other things, I always get the classic... "I'm bored Dad, what are we doing next"? They will not sit still for any significant length of time.
Does your H have your kids for any significant length of time?

When he was here he saw them in the evenings and weekends (not alone) but on weekends they would get on his nerves. Now he has them every other weekend from Friday night to Sunday evening. Don't know what the time is like. Normally they come home with stories about all the places they go. Which in itself is kinda frustrating because if he were here we wouldn't be taking them all over the place. And I know he's just trying to entertain them and have fun but... Last weekend however he had a not pleasant encounter with his oldest (not mine) and it affected his whole weekend. My kids said they just hung out at the apartment. If they asked to go to the pool he'd say no...
Yeah I know it's constant motion. Which is why I don't get how he can think all I do is play on the computer...

Well I told you I applied for an insurance company. About a week and a half ago they had me fill out an assessment test. Today I had to fill out an online application. So I'm hoping this is all a good sign. Sure would be nice.
For some reason I woke up kinda down today. Nothing's happened. Havne't even talked to him for a couple days. Guess it just sometimes hits me...

Yeah!! Good luck with that. I hope it comes through for you.
Maybe it's the moon or something cuz I'm down, too. Been crying off and on all day and it's only noon. Nothing's happened here either, so I don't know why.
Thanks!! Sure hope something comes from it. I think it would be a good company to get into. Oh they had also sent me an email asking me to call at my earlist convience to set up an interview. Of course I called right away but she's in interviews all day so I'm waiting to hear back from her. Lots of praying and keeping my fingers crossed.
So far I haven't cried today. I cried when I went to bed last night. My first thought this morning was how I missed him coming in to tell me bye and he loves me and kissing me before heading off to work. Maybe that's why I'm down. Who knows. Doesn't really take much to do that. Though my days are some better then before this first happened.

Just checking in on your situation. I hope that potential job comes through for you, but if not, don't get discouraged, keep your nose to the grindstone. Keep passing out and mailing those resumes.
Keep us posted, Good Luck!
