I think at this stage, it might be the best to detach, you have let her know that you are there, and leave it at that.
GAL, and act as if.
She seems like she really doesn't have a clue about what she wants, and you don't want to push her any further away.
So basically just let her figure this out on her own, and focus on you for now.

hmmm, I wonder if it was just a way for her to get attention. I was famous for saying crass things like that in the hopes my H would fawn over me since I seemed so "distraught"

And some people are masochists and like to dwell in their hurt.

She might be on the downside of an emotional tide we women go through. Hang tough, you did nothing wrong.
