I agree - CS should include DC. And I'm going to ask for half. I've copied the bills so far for him. There's almost $400 and it's not even the middle of June yet.

Alimony - n/a - we make about the same

Supposedly he wants nothing - he's letting me have the house and the truck. He wants his name off of it but to be honest, w/o refinancing, I don't know how it's possible. I almost wish he'd done this in January since we would have been able to re-do it w/o the penalty KWIM?

Health insurance - when he moved out, he got his own. I kept D on mine because it's good insurance. He added her to his (or said he did - I haven't seen the cards, etc.) so that we'd have double insurance on her if God forbid anything major happened. However, I did tell him I'd ask for half of the $$ to pay for her dentist visits. He thought that was actually unfair since I was already paying the premiums......but agreed.

Visitation - God I don't even want to think about this.....holidays, etc. (Remember he WANTED to spend Easter together as a family, even though it was his weekend? what happened to THAT man?)

Assets - house and truck.

Tell him to make you an offer and then have an attorney review it.

I had talked to a L when it was all beginning and they said if we could make this friendly and agree on everything that I wouldn't need one.

I don't have the $$ for one

This can NOT break me........but damn it feels like it might.

I am so sorry to hear you are having to deal with this today, just play it calm and collected. See what he comes up with and then go from there. That is how you bide time and get what you want/need if it comes to that in the end. I am saying an extra prayer for you today!!

Chick,
How about this?

I know you can not afford a Lawyer. Have his do all of the work so that he has to pay for it and then find out if your county offers free visits for questions.

I know the last Tuesday of the month (I think it is Tuesday) our local Bar association hold a free legal clinic where you can go in and ask whatever in the heck you want and get answer from lawyers dedicating their time. Granted it is not the greatest idea but at least you would have a lawyer look it over and give you suggestions.

Not sure if you have anything like that out there but it might be something to look into.

But would that be just a consult? To have them review the agreement?

Easiest thing to do is contact your local bar association and ask if they offer any free services.
